It's true dogs don't know what goes into their food. That's why it's our responsibility to make sure that we feed the food with the best ingredients. None of this is done to evoke an emotional response. It's done to help ensure the health of our pets. Ingredients do matter and some kibbles are better then others.
A list of foods to check into are
Innova
California Naturals
EVO
Orjien
Nature's Variety
Nature's Logic
Solid Gold
The Honest Kitchen
Sojo's
Eagle Pack
Wellness
Natural Balance
Fromm
GO
NOW
Ziwi Peak
Taste of the Wild
Blue Buffalo
To name a few
As for those who insist that better ingredients don't matter, I fail to see how that makes sense. The information has been posted but because it doesn't agree with what they state they just choose to ignore it. Don't be fooled what you feed your pup is very important to say different is laughable. There are plenty of studies that show a diet with quality meat ingredients and quality ingredients over all do have an effect on the health of our pets. Just as diet influences our health it does our pets as well. All one needs is a simple understanding of the dogs digestive system to know why these cheap fillers aren't needed. Dogs don't need grains or carbs. There are several places one can find this simple information NRC, Whole dog journal, and many of the big box companies have put out information showing that dogs do best with lots of quality meat. Sadly they don't take their own advice and still produce crappy food. Check out the Nutrition forum here www.dogster.com
